Review of Mi 11 Lite: Review of Mi 11 Lite, India Price, Specs: Should you buy the Mi 11 Lite at Rs 21,999 or one of the competitors such as OnePlus Nord CE, Samsung Galaxy M42? To learn more, read the Mi 11 Lite review.
The Mi 11 Lite is Xiaomi’s latest addition to the Mi range in India. The price of the phone is below Rs 25,000, which is a very competitive segment with great devices like the OnePlus Nord CE and the Mi 10i, as well as the Poco X3 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy M42.
While most phones in this price range have powerful specs, the Mi phone is a step above the rest. Although the Mi 11 Lite doesn’t have as many powerful specs as the competition, it is still capable of doing the job in real-life usage.
I’ve been using the Mi 11 Lite for more than a week and I absolutely love the way it looks and how it provides an experience. However, there are areas that I wish the phone was better.
Review of Mi 11 Lite: Design
The Mi 11 Lite is a great phone for those who want a phone with a premium look and feel, but at a reasonable price. It looks amazing with its anti-glare matte finish.
This solves the fingerprint problem that I have always experienced with glossy-glass phones. The Mi 11 Lite is different. While glossy phones are notorious for quickly registering fingerprints, this is not the case with the Mi 11 Lite. This phone came with no case.
There are three vibrant options available for the phone: jazz blue, tuscany Coral and vinyl Black. I received the tuscany Coral model for review. It looks absolutely stunning. I think the colour shift design is very interesting. This can be a great way to attract more customers.
Both the front and back of the phone have a simple design. It features a square-shaped camera module, which isn’t too bumpy. This allows the Mi 11 Lite to lie flat on a desk and not fall as much.
The camera module design is clean and simple with three sensors, a LED flash and a slight gap between them. This ensures that the design doesn’t seem clunky. The Xiaomi brand logo is located at the bottom. It blends well with the overall design.
The front of the Mi 11 Lite has a punch hole cutout. It is located at the extreme top-left and is one the smallest that I have ever seen on a phone. All sides have been significantly reduced, which makes for a great multimedia and viewing experience.
Review of Mi 11 Lite: Build
The Mi 11 Lite’s unique selling point is its lightweight. The phone is 157g. Although I’m not sure if the phone can be flown by a balloon, it is certainly one of my favorite phones in years. Xiaomi deserves to be commended for this.
It is very sturdy and does not feel fragile. The back panel has a layer of glass that adds to its premium feel. Although the frames are made of plastic, it does not mean that the phone looks less expensive. It is extremely easy to use the phone by one hand because of its curved sides.
The Mi 11 Lite is light in weight and the slimmest phone in its price range. It actually looks slightly slimmer than a pen when I compared it (see photo above). The Mi 11 Lite can be used with just one hand, and it also fits into your jeans pocket without any extra effort.
Review of the Mi 11 Lite: Display
The Mi 11 Lite’s display is bright enough in both indoor and outdoor conditions, but not when it gets too dark.
It features a 6.55 inch 10-bit AMOLED display measuring 2400x1080p, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the display to make it more durable.
The Mi 11 Lite provides a good multimedia experience indoors and is equally as useful outdoors. The display is bright enough for indoor use.
In this situation, I found that around 40-50% brightness was the best. It was different when I went to my terrace. Even though the maximum brightness was not working at noon, it worked fine between 7 am and 4 pm.
However, around 7 am to 8 pm, it seemed that 100 percent brightness was sufficient. Sometimes the screen can get very reflective, which can sometimes affect your viewing experience.
The Mi 11 Lite was able to perform all my regular tasks, including browsing social media and watching movies. It was also quite good indoors. However, it is less impressive outdoors due to its reflective nature.
Review of Mi 11 Lite: Performance
The Mi 11 Lite’s Snapdragon 732G chip powers up to 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and can be paired with up to 8GB RAM. The base model has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Mi 11 Lite is less powerful than the competitors, but it delivers decent performance in all areas.
It’s not all about the numbers. What matters most is the experience. Xiaomi may take this as a lesson. Despite having a less powerful chip, the overall performance of the Mi 11 Lite is quite good.
The phone was my primary device. I used it to send emails, take calls, browse social media, play games, listen to music, and watch movies.
The Mi 11 Lite didn’t lag at all. Multitasking was handled very well by the phone. It was easy to switch between apps. I had multiple apps running in the background, but it didn’t affect the overall performance.
The Mi 11 Lite ran all games smoothly, including Subway surfer and Garena Free Fire. The game PUBG Mobile India aka Battlegrounds Mobile India ran flawlessly on my Mi phone at high graphics settings.
The same was true for Asphalt 9. Asphalt 9 was the same. The phone warmed up slightly after a long game session, but this happens with most phones so it is not a problem.
You will love watching movies and playing games on the Mi 11 Lite. Dual speakers provide a very loud and clear sound, something that is rare in phones in this price range. Bravo, Xiaomi!
Camera review of the Mi 11 Lite:
The camera is mixed in my opinion. While there are good parts, there are also areas that could be improved by software updates in the days ahead.
The Mi 11 Lite packs a 64-megapixel primary camera at the rear, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 5-megapixel tele macro sensors. The phone can take decent photos in daylight conditions with the main lens, but it is not as good in low-light situations. To help with this situation, there is the night mode.
In most cases, daylight photos showed very accurate colors and details. The sharp edges of most photos taken with this phone were prominent. If your fingers aren’t very steady when clicking photos, there is a chance that some shots may end up blurry. The ultra-wide camera performance was excellent, with photos that showed fine details.
Tele macro lenses are the highlight of the Mi 11 Lite camera. The phone can take stunning photos with amazing details and colors using this camera mode.
These macro mode photos looked sharp and were social media-friendly. You don’t need to edit them before you share them with your friends on social media.
Xiaomi has also added many camera features to the app. These include a short videos, slow motion, and time-lapse. Dual video, movie effects, including magic zoom, show shutter, freeze, and others.
The phone’s front camera has a 16-megapixel sensor. This can take great-looking selfies, with all the details and colors.
While I prefer photos to be true colors, there are options available on the camera app for those who want photos with more saturation. The Mi 11 Lite can take well-detailed portrait selfies, with blurred backgrounds and sharp edges.
Review of the Mi 11 Lite: Battery
The Mi 11 Lite has a long-lasting battery that can last for a whole day on a single charge. The box contains a 4250mAh battery and 33W fast charging support. It can charge completely in just 45 minutes, which is quite impressive. The best thing about the phone is its ability to charge completely in under 45 minutes.
Review of Mi 11 Lite: Verdict
The Mi 11 Lite package is an excellent overall package starting at Rs 21,999 It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful phones available at this price. The slim design makes it light and comfortable to hold.
With slight improvements in camera performance, the Mi 11 Lite excels in many other areas. It can multitask well, take great macro shots, and has a long-lasting battery.
The Mi 11 Lite offers a smooth and clean user experience. Overall, the Mi 11 Light is an excellent package worth considering for less than Rs 25,000 in India.
