Review of Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Rising to the Challenge


Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: Xiaomi recently launched the most powerful and expensive smartphone, Mi 11 Ultra, in India.

This smartphone is the company’s first to feature a waterproof and ceramic design. The smartphone boasts the fastest processor and promises DSLR-like photography.

The smartphone is also the first Indian smartphone to feature a dual display. Xiaomi is now aiming to compete with OnePlus and Samsung in this price segment, pricing at Rs 69999.

To understand the company’s premium flagship smartphone, we used it. This is our complete review.


The Mi 11 Ultra flagship smartphone is among the most attractive on the market. The first Indian smartphone to feature a ceramic body design is the Mi 11 Ultra.

Corning Gorilla Glass is used on the top and front of the smartphone.

The Mi 11 Ultra is also the company’s first smartphone to be equipped with an IP68 rating, which makes it dust and water-resistant.

According to the company, the smartphone can withstand submersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters.

This claim was also tested by us and the smartphone survived. It is slightly heavier due to its ceramic body.

The device’s front features a 6.8-inch edge-to-edge display that gives it an elegant appearance.

On the top left corner of the punch-hole display is a 20MP self-portrait camera. It is protected by a metallic ribbon that runs around the entire perimeter of the smartphone.

This adds to its aesthetic appeal and gives it a solid grip. The volume rocker, as well as the power buttons, are located on the left-hand side of your smartphone.

To make it easier to distinguish between the buttons, the company included a textured power button.

On the bottom of your smartphone are the SIM card tray, speaker grill, and USB Type C ports.

One thing you can’t overlook in the Mi 11 Ultra design is its camera setup. The smartphone’s rear houses the primary display and the secondary display.

It is housed in a rectangular configuration. This camera setup covers approximately 1/4 of the rear panel.

This camera setup protrudes so that the smartphone will wobble if it is not kept flat.

Although the Mi 11 Ultra is stylish and beautiful, some may not like its large camera setup.


The Mi 11 Ultra is not only the most expensive smartphone from the company but also the first Xiaomi smartphone to have a dual display.

It features a 6.81-inch QuadHD+ main display measuring 1440×3200 pixels resolution. It supports HDR10+ and has a 120Hz refresh rate.

Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects the display and adds Dolby Vision. The smartphone houses a secondary display, which can be found on the rear panel.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a 1.1 inch secondary AMOLED display measuring 294×129 pixels resolution. This always-on display is located next to the rear camera setup.

The display performance of the smartphone’s screen is amazing. You can set the resolution and refresh rates for the display at high levels with the Mi 11 Ultra.

According to the company, the refresh rate of this display can vary from 30Hz to 120Hz depending on the usage.

The Quad HD+ display is stunning and provides sharp color reproduction. Its curved edge design makes it easy for direct sunlight to read.

Other than this, Xiaomi also offers some useful tools that can enhance the user experience.

You can use the smartphone to convert standard definition video to high resolution and high definition video to WQHD+.

This means you can now enjoy older content in high resolution without losing any quality.

Xiaomi also added a variety of sensors to the Mi 11 Ultra, which improves the user experience.

For reading in ambient light, the smartphone has a 360-degree ambient light sensor. It also works under direct sunlight.

The powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor powers the Mi 11 Ultra, a flagship smartphone.

The device has 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. These specifications will ensure that the smartphone works flawlessly.

The smartphone handled all types of games well. Gaming is enhanced by the high-resolution display and fast refresh rate.

You also get some bloatware when you purchase the smartphone. Despite all this, it’s easy to ignore.


The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a triple rear camera setup. It features a 50MP main camera, with a Samsung Gn2 sensor, f/1.95 aperture, and 48MP ultra-wide angle lens with Sony IMX586 sensor and f/2.2 aperture.

There is also a 48MP telephoto lens and f/1.4 aperture. You can zoom up to 120x, 5x optical, and 10x hybrid with the smartphone.

The smartphone can record 8K videos at 24fps or 4K videos at 60fps. Slow-motion videos can be recorded at 1920 fps. A 20MP front camera has an f/2.2 aperture and can be used for selfies.

The smartphone’s main camera has bi-directional Dual Pixel autofocus. This allows it to detect changes in horizontal and vertical patterns. The main camera will not disappoint, and you will be delighted with the images taken using it.

The images showed no visible noise and had great exposure with perfect white balance.

These shots were also taken with 5x zoom and turned out very well, with excellent clarity and great color. You will also see noise in the images taken with 10x zoom.

Mixed results were obtained from shots taken at night and in low light. The camera automatically adjusts to night mode when it is being used. This is a great feature. Images captured at night captured by the camera showed a lot more detail.

The smartphone’s rear camera can also be used to take selfies. The secondary display can be used as a viewfinder, and the rear camera can take wide-angle selfies.

The Mi 11 Ultra’s 20MP selfie camera also produced impressive results. Sharp and clean selfies were taken in bright light. Proper edge detection was also a great help in portrait shots.

The camera app is very simple and clean. All the essential functions will be displayed on the main screen.

The main screen allows you to add, remove and rearrange modes. A Multicam mode allows you to take photos with both cameras simultaneously.

These modes are complemented by a Supermoon mode that allows you to take images of the moon using the AI camera.

The camera on the Mi 11 Ultra will amaze you in all aspects.


Xiaomi is a leader in battery technology, and it doesn’t matter if the smartphone is a budget or premium model.

The Mi 11 Ultra comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W wireless and wired fast charging.

It also supports 10W wireless reverse charging. A single charge of moderate use can last the smartphone for a full day. The battery can run out if the display is used at 120Hz.

With a 55W charger, the Mi 11 Ultra can be charged completely in under an hour. The 67W charger may be able to charge the device faster.

The 67W charger was not tested during our time with it. The company claims the smartphone can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in just 36 minutes.


The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is priced at Rs 69.999, making it India’s most expensive smartphone.

It features a ceramic body and a Snapdragon 888 processor that delivers flawless performance. The latest operating system is the Mi 11 Ultra. It also has a powerful camera.

Your device is protected against water and dust thanks to its IP68 rating. This smartphone is everything you would expect from a flagship phone.
